MASSIMO IGLINA
Massimo Iglina was born in Alessandria (Italy) on 02/09/1971.
After attending the Elementary School in Bruno (Italy), his city of origin, he attended the lower Secondary School at the Diocesan Seminary of Acqui Terme (Italy).
Attracted by the ecclesiastical world from a young age, he participated as an altar boy in the celebrations of his Church.
After completing the lower secondary school, he attended the Magistral Institute of the French Sisters of Acqui Terme, finishing the course of master training at the State Institute “D.R. Saluzzo” of Alessandria, following the closure of the Acqui one.
In 1994 he left for military service in the Carabineers and, after making the CAR in Fossano (Italy) at the Carabineers Battalion students school “C.A. della Chiesa”, he has performed his service at “Sardinia Carabineers Battalion” of Cagliari (Italy).
During the military period he carried out special tasks such as, for example, the external surveillance of the super prison of Asinara in Sardinia (Italy) and became secretary responsible for the matricular sheets of the auxiliary and effective Carabineers in the “Freshmen” Office at the Sardinia Carabineers Command Legion in Cagliari.
After his military service, in 1995 he entered the Episcopal Seminary of the Diocese of Acqui to begin the training course in philosophy and theology.
In 1997 he was admitted among the candidates for the diaconate and presbyterate in the Cathedral Church “N.S. Assunta” of Acqui Terme.
In 1998 he became a lecturer in the Cathedral Church “N.S. Assunta” of Acqui Terme.
In 1999 he became acolyte always in the Cathedral Church “N.S. Assunta” of Acqui Terme.
In 2000 he was ordained deacon by His Excellency Msgr. Livio Maritano, Bishop of the Diocese of Acqui, in the Cathedral Church “N.S. Assunta” of Acqui Terme.
In the same year he was appointed Assistant Ceremonier and Secretary of the Diocesan Liturgical Office.
In 2001 he was ordained priest by His Exc. Msgr. Pier Giorgio Micchiardi, Bishop of the Diocese of Acqui. in the Cathedral Church “N.S. Assunta” of Acqui Terme.
On 10 June 2001 he celebrated his first Holy Mass in the Parish Church “N.S. Annunziata” of Bruno.
Also in 2001 he was appointed Parish Vicar of the parishes “Santa Caterina vergine e martire” of Alessandria and “San Lorenzo” of Cassine (Italy).
In 2004 he was appointed Parish Priest of the Church “Sant’Andrea apostolo” of Rocchetta Cairo (Italy).
In 2005 he became a member of the “V.E.O.S.P.S.S. – Pauperes Commilitones Christi Templique Salomonis”, the famous Order of the Templars.
In 2011 he was appointed Delegate of the Diocese of Acqui for the pastoral area of Savona (Italy).
In 2012 he was appointed parish priest of “Abbazia dei Santi Pietro e Paolo” of Ferrania (Italy).
In 2014 he was nominated Abbot General of “V.E.O.S.P.S.S. – Pauperes Commilitones Christi Templique Salomonis”.
In 2017 he was appointed Episcopal Master of Ceremony for the Diocese of Acqui.
In the same year he was elected a member of the Grand Council and Grand Chancellor of “V.E.O.S.P.S.S. – Pauperes Commilitones Christi Templique Salomonis”.
In 2018 he was appointed Head of the pastoral at the small Sanctuary of “Beata Teresa Bracco” in Santa Giulia of Dego (Italy).
In the same year he was appointed Minister of the Families of the Templar Nation.
