AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY FOR STATE OF ISRAEL
Alexander Levin was born in Ašmjany (Belarus) on 19/04/1954, but has lived in Israel since he was young, in Rishon LeZyon.
After attending regular studies in Israel, he obtained a degree in Master of Arts, with a specialization in the history of the Jewish people, a degree in Master of Arts in Education, a degree in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Public Administration, at Israeli universities.
In 2017 he obtained the degree of Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
Still at the level of studies, in 2018 he obtained a degree from Bar Ilan University in sexual dysfunction.
Journalist and writer (he has written 17 books) much appreciated, he also received numerous honorary doctorates, such as the honorary doctorate in Economics and Business from the University of Moscow (Russia) and the honorary doctorate in Economics and Public Administration from the Berkeley Academic Institute of Berlin (Germany).
He speaks and currently writes four languages: Hebrew, Russian, English and Polish.
Man of the Year in Israel in 1982 and in India in 2017, he received numerous awards and certificates for his many social activities.
Experienced military and of high level of training, from 1976 to 1980 he served as a reserve unit at the Makam Unit (Center for the Advancement of Special Populations).
From 1980 to 2000 he served as reserve officer at the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) – Education and Speaking Unit.
He has been a member and activist for several years of the World Movement for Unity of Israel.
Since 2006 he has been a member of the research and investigation committees of the Israeli Ministry of Defense.
Since 2016 he is a member of the auction committee of the Ministry of Defense.
From 2019 he is Academic Strategic Advisor of the School of Civil Aviation, chaired by General Dan Halutz, Lieutenant General of the Air Force, Chief of General Staff of the IDF and Commander of the IAF (Israeli Air Force).
At the working level, from 1975 to 1978 he was Chairman of the Review Committee of the Student Union of the Ben Gurion University – Beer Sheva Technological College.
From 1977 to 1978 he was a supervisory engineer in the Ramat aerospace sector of Be’er Sheva (Israel).
From 1980 to 1986 he was a lecturer at the Ministry of Information – Office of the Prime Minister, for the explanation of government policy and current affairs.
From 1981 to 1985 he directed the Be’er Sheva Professional Training Center and was Director of the entire work area in the Be’er Sheva neighborhood rehabilitation project, Joe D. North.
From 1981 to 1987 he was Professor of Open University.
In 1987 he coordinated the School of Activists at Sapir Academic College, located in the northwestern desert of the Negev near Sderot (Israel).
From 1987 to 1998 he was Director of the Mikve Israel General School.
From 1990 to 1996 it opened 35 schools for immigrant children, during the great immigration from the Commonwealth.
In total, around 2,500 children attended these schools in the cities of Holon and Bat Yam (Israel).
From 1997 to 2000 he was Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Education.
From 1998 to 2002 he was a member of the Public Advisory Council for Arab Affairs at the Prime Minister’s Office.
From 1999 to 2000 he was a member of the Board of Directors and General Manager of the Amir Satellite Center Ltd. company in Netanya (Israel).
From 1999 to 2001 member of the Board of Directors and General Manager of the telecommunications company Zentrix Communications Ltd., a company of the Telkor group.
From 2000 to 2001 he was Consultant at the Torah and Craft Religious School in Tel Aviv (Israel).
From 2001 to 2004 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the international company Global Trade Online.
From 2002 to 2013 he was Director of the Israeli office of Armenian National Airlines in Israel.
From 2017 to 2018 he was Honorary President of the Yener Academic College of Jerusalem (Israel).
Since 2017 he is President of the Gilboa Theater – Academy of the Arts Theater.
Also from 2017 he is a member of the Audit Committee of the Hebrew Writers Association in Israel.
Alexander Levin is also President and member of numerous associations, such as the Association for the Commemoration of the Armenian Holocaust in the State of Israel, the Committee for the War on Sexual Violence and Human Trafficking in Israel, the Association for Disabled IDF of the Yom Kippur War (6 – 25 October 1973).
Member of numerous Knightly Orders, on 1 October 2019 he received the citizenship of the Templar Nation, while on 8 November 2019 he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Templar Nation in the State of Israel, with notification of Credential Letters to S.E. Reuven Ruvlin, President of Israel.
