25/01/2019: Adhesion of the Templar Nation to the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties between States and International Organizations or between International Organizations of 1986
On Friday 25 January 2019 the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Awana Gana Costantini Picardi, announced that the Templar Nation has adhered to the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties between States and international organizations or between international organizations, drawn up by the United Nations on 21 March 1986.
The Convention, as evidenced by the same title, contains the rules designed to regulate the conclusion and application of treaties between States and international organizations or between several international organizations.
All States and international organizations can participate in the Convention.
At present, the Convention is not in force, as there are no ratifications or accessions of States, which are necessary under Article 85 of the Treaty.
Therefore, the Convention is valid only if the contracting parties to a treaty agree to comply with it.
The Templar Nation, to overcome this inconvenience, has decided to join the Convention “sua sponte”.
To read the Convention, go to the “Documents” section.
