11/10/2020: Nagorno-Karabakh War, President Bonsi: Armenia and Azerbaijan respect the ceasefire; the question must be resolved politically
President Bonsi spoke on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict:
“I wrote to the President of Armenia Sarkissian and the President of Azerbaijan Aliyev to persuade them to find a political solution to the conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
The two states must find a solution in this delicate situation.
The Republic of Artsakh, which effectively occupies the Nagorno-Karabakh region, is now a fact, having been proclaimed in 1992, and compliance with the ceasefire is necessary to find political mediation.
Since 1988, Armenia and Azerbaijan have been at war over Nagorno-Karabakh, an Azerbaijani territory almost entirely populated by Armenians.
The Republic of Artsakh is the right solution to avoid problems of territorial ownership.
Yet Azerbaijan continues to claim territorial sovereignty and seeks to occupy the disputed region.
More than 300 people have died and thousands have been displaced by the outbreak of the latest violence and in this situation, as always, children are the most penalized.
The ceasefire, agreed thanks to the mediation of the Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, did not produce the desired results and now the conflict is resuming with vigor.
Our Ambassador to Armenia Vardan Balaian immediately went to Nagorno-Karabakh to bring aid and relief.
The Templar Nation will do everything possible to help the inhabitants of Nagorno-Karabakh and will make itself available for political mediation.
Since we have several citizens of the Templar Nation living in Armenia, our Department of Foreign Affairs has activated the Crisis Unit.
Our Ambassador to Israel Alexander Levin has been appointed Liaison Officer between our Ambassador to Armenia and the Crisis Unit”.

10/06/2021: Ambassador of the Templar Nation to Armenia Vardan Balayan, « I have seen death and devastation everywhere »
In a letter sent directly to the President, Ambassador Balayan retraced the terrible days of the war between Azerbaijan and Armenia for the possession of Karabakh, a conflict too soon forgotten.
Environment Minister Stéphanie Lescouzère remembers this very important day.
A letter in which the representative of Palestine and the Israeli President are invited to an immediate ceasefire and to find a definitive solution.
