08-03-2019: The Minister for Equal Opportunities writes on the occasion of the International Women’s Day

The “International Women’s Day” (commonly called Women’s Day) occurs on March 8 every year to commemorate both the social, political and economic achievements of women, and the discrimination and violence they are still subject to in many parts of the world.

Our Nation has shown great attention to the female world (the presence of 4 female ministers is a confirmation) and the Department for Equal Opportunities intends to make its voice heard at the international institutions in charge, so that the social status of women can assume the right dignity even in those states that are defined as civilians by the international community, but which in reality demonstrate their state of backwardness by considering women as little more than an object.

Many women live in these States every day a violation of their fundamental rights as people and as citizens: they have no rights, they are subordinate to men and are considered mostly useful only for reproduction because they can only take care of the family.

This shame must end and these uncivilized states must be marginalized by the international community until they give the right equality of civil rights to women.

On the part of the Templar Nation, there will never be dialogue with these States until they demonstrate respect for women.

Therefore, we reiterate that women must have the same rights as men: no discrimination, no marginalization, no violence.

This is and will be our battle.
